Noah Turns 6!!!

On Thanksgiving Monday (October 11th) our son Noah turned 6! For his birthday we surprised him and took him to the Vancouver Canucks game. Noah has wanted to go to a Canucks game for a while but has had to settle for the Chilliwack Bruins games instead. He was so excited.....his reaction when he found out was priceless. The game was awesome, made even better when the Canucks beat the Florida Panthers 2-1. Isaiah also had fun getting to meet Fin and get his autograph. Noah is an amazing boy who lights up rooms wherever he goes and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. Happy Birthday Fry Guy! Love you!

So, this is a picture from the Seattle Mariners game about a month ago. Canucks pictures still to come!

This, That, and The Other Thing

So, here are just a few pictures from the past week. We went camping (but there are way too many pictures to put up on here....check facebook) and we just hung out. Nothing too exciting.

The boys cuddling. I don't think I could love them anymore than I already do. They rock!

Greg, Kyle (my brother), and Al (Greg's friend) watching "TV" in the hot tub. They rigged up a 51" TV sitting on a bench right out front of the hot tub. A little excessive don't you think? Anyway, it was funny so I took a picture.

Noah, Zay, and two of their cousins Brody and Anna. I'm not sure what they're all looking at but it definitely wasn't the camera.

The boys got new running shoes after Noah wore holes in his old ones. Since Noah has learned to tie laces he got some new Nikes with laces and Isaiah got some Nikes with velcro. They have yet to wear them outside because they know once they do they can't wear them indoors anymore.

What this picture doesn't show is that the boys were bouncing up and down to some music with their pants hiked up and their runners on. I was in stitches. It was SO FUNNY! So, that's about it for now. We have a Motionball Fundraiser on Saturday which is a Fundraiser for the Special Olympics which will be awesome. T-Ball is over in a couple of weeks and Noah has one month of school left. Looks like June is going to be a busy month.

New Camera and Fun Times

So Greg and I just got a new camera....FUN! And for the last couple of days we have been playing around with it and taking pictures. Here are some of those pictures.
A nice close up of Isaiah's face.
There is a neat close up setting and so I thought I would try taking pictures of flowers. So I headed out to our garden and took a picture of this rhododendron. Looks like that setting works.
The boys. Aren't they cute?!
Yesterday we headed out to the fun fair at the leisure center. There was a face painter there and Noah didn't want his face painted but decided on a nice baseball and bat design on his arms for his ball game that night.
After seeing his friends faces get painted Isaiah decided on this lovely design.....a fun batman logo all over his face. It was the first time he was brave enough to get his face painted and he looks pretty cute.
Last night was baseball for Noah. I am the coach so Greg took some pictures of the game for me. He did a great job as you will see. Noah is loving t-ball and is getting pretty good. Some of the coaches were calling him "The Natural" when he was at batting practice on Saturday. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty proud. Here he is taking his helmet off after batting.
Here he is "cranking" the ball (as we call it). If you can enlarge this picture do it.....and check out his face. PRICELESS.
Greg is very proud of this picture. I love it! Such a happy guy.
Throwing the ball to first base after fielding it.
Getting ready in the field. The player on his right is his second cousin Van.
On Tuesday night we went to Greg's soccer game and took some pictures. Here he is passing the ball. He happened to score two goals in this game and I had the camera away for both of them. Too bad.
Noah watching the game while eating a granola bar.
My ten year-old son Noah. Okay, maybe he just looks way older than 5 in this picture.
Zay! I love this kid!
Close up of Noah.
Needless to say the new camera is fun and expect a lot more pictures as the days get nicer.

Disneyland

As a treat to ourselves for becoming mortgage free we headed off on a family trip to Disneyland. To sum up the trip.......awesome! As a family we had so much fun. Here are some photos from our adventure.

Mickey, Pluto, Noah, and Isaiah are here to welcome you to Disneyland....and salute you!

We found a huge Lego store in Downtown Disney. Here's Noah climbing on the biggest Lego block we had ever seen.

There was even a talking Darth Vader made out of Lego inside the store. I thought it was funny that Noah looked like he was holding a light saber in this photo and was also wearing a Star Wars shirt.

Outside California Adventure Park they have all the letters to spell California. It worked out so well that there are an 'N' and an 'I' side by side. Here are the kids posing with their new stuffies beside their letters. Oh, Greg is acting as blocker so I can take this picture.
Here's Isaiah with his new Pluto beside his 'I'.

Here's Noah with his new Mickey inside his 'N'.

We met Pluto.....here they are giving him five!

We also had a family picture with Pluto.......Noah just can't seem to keep his eyes open!

We met Mickey a couple of times. Here the kids are in his house having their picture taken with him.

See, here's another Mickey.....again Noah with the eyes closed. I never realized how short Mickey was!

Here are the boys by the statue of Walt Disney and Mickey out front of the castle. Too bad the weather was terrible this day (ha ha)!

Isaiah on King Arthurs Carousel. This was one of his favorite rides. His most favorite ride was Pirates of the Caribbean. No, he wasn't scared of it....which surprised me. I would post photos but we weren't supposed to take photos on that ride. I'm pretty sure we rode Pirates at least 20 times and the Carousel at least 10 times. He was so happy!

It's not Disneyland unless you take a ride on Dumbo. We rode Dumbo a few times.....this time Zay picked a green Dumbo.

Noah and I picked a blue Dumbo.

We also had to go on the teacups too. Here are Greg and Zay getting ready for their big teacup spin.

We also went over to California Adventure Park and rode on Mickey's Fun Wheel. Zay and I loved it.

Greg also loved this ride (not). I guess he's not a fan of being up high and swinging back and forth. Noah liked it though.

Isaiah posing for the camera.

Greg looking thrilled to be on Fliks bumper bugs. Either that or he's really afraid of Noah's driving.

Isaiah and Greg in line for Heimlichs Bugs Life ride. Probably the most boring ride our whole trip but the kids liked it.

There were two rides Noah and Greg went on that Noah HATED. The first was Indiana Jones. Apparently the snakes and stuff were too scary. This was the other ride he didn't like, the water ride at California Adventure Park. If you look closely you can see just how much he is not enjoying himself. I guess he didn't want to get wet. Oh well, he dried quickly!

Noah and Greg went on Soaring over California and while they did that Isaiah and I managed to find a few friends. Here he is with Chip and Dale.

Then he was lucky enough to meet Goofy. He thought Goofy was the best!

I also wanted to meet Goofy so here I am. Lucky me!

We were also able to go visit Radiator Springs!

Lucky for us Mater and Lightning McQueen were in town and posed for some pictures.

We visited with a talking Mr. Potato Head while waiting in line for the Toy Story Boardwalk Games ride. While I'm taking this picture he's actually talking to Noah. He said, "Hey, you in the red shirt!". That was pretty neat.

We also went to Disneyland at night. Here we are at the entrance to Disneyland. The train station is in the back and here is Mickey's face made entirely of flowers.

The boys and I on Main Street.

Another one of Isaiah's favorite rides was Astro Orbitors. Him and I spent a lot of time on this ride while Greg and Noah rode Space Mountain and Star Wars. Don't ask me why he loved it but he did.

The entrance to Main Street during the day. How pretty!

Buzz Lightyear out front of Astro Blasters.

Greg intently attempting to beat my high score in Astro Blasters. He never did beat my score while I was there. He claims to have beat it when he went on this ride with Noah but I wasn't there so there is no proof!

Noah in Tarzan's Treehouse.

Isaiah in Tarzan's Treehouse.

I really wanted to get these Goofy toques for the kids but seriously $30? So, we settled for a picture of them wearing them instead.

Noah's two favorite rides were Space Mountain and this one, Thunder Mountain Railroad. He was a little scared in the beginning but by the 20th or so time he rode this rollercoaster he felt comfortable enough to ride with his hands up. If you look you'll see him with his hands up. Like Mother like Son!

This was the view from our hotel room.....that white peak in the background is the Matterhorn. So, we were right across the street from Disneyland. It was great being so close that we could walk. Next time I'll add photos of the water park at our hotel.

Finally, the flight home......after 5 long days in California it was time to come home. The boys were a little bit tired but had an awesome time. Next time Noah says we'll have to go to Disneyworld. Oh boy, I can't wait!
